Fiberglass Structural Shapes / Fibergrate®
FRP is a fiberglass-reinforced plastic that has many industrial, commercial, recreational, and other uses. The product is engineered to withstand harsh environments such as in chemical plants, metal and mining, food and beverage and water and waste water treatment facilities. It works well in areas where slip-resistance is important, such as the production floor, decks, marinas, and stairways. The product is corrosion and impact resistant while also being lightweight. It is easy to install and requires little maintenance.
FRP can be made into a variety of structural shapes, all of which provide a combination of corrosion resistance, dimensional stability, high strength and low weight, as well as thermal and electric non-conductivity.

Grades and Colors
Molded gratings provide the ultimate in reliable performance, even in the most demanding corrosive conditions. Fibergrate and Chemgrate lines offer the widest selection in the market with 10 resins and 17 grating configurations available in many panel sizes and slip-resistant surfaces. Molded grating is recommended when corrosion and safety are concerns or when several grating penetrations are required. It is ideal for catwalks, flooring, platforms, trench covers, screens, and media support.
The 65% glass to 35% resin ratio of pultruded grating provides twice the stiffness of molded grating, allowing it to span greater distances. Pultruded grating is best suited to pedestrian walkways, platforms, and other applications where wide support spans, close load bar spacing, or ADA compliance is required. Fibergrate's Safe-T-Span pultruded gratings are offered in a variety of panel sizes, depths, tie-bar spacing and open area.
Fibergrate offers a wide range of Dynaform® pultruded structural components including channels, beams, angles, bars, rods, concrete embedment angles, toe plates, flat sheets, and threaded rods and nuts. Dynaform® structural shapes are used in a broad array of applications, providing a unique combination of corrosion resistance, high strength, dimensional stability and light weight, along with thermal and electric nonconductivity.
Dynarail® handrail is easily assembled from durable prefabricated modular components or custom engineered solutions specifically for your application. Dynarail® handrail meets or exceeds OSHA and strict building-code requirements for safety and design.
Dynarail® safety ladder systems are easily assembled on site with ladder and cage components that meet or exceed OSHA requirements. Ladder rungs include heavily serrated flutes for positive, slip-resistant footholds.
Fibergrate provides a variety of slip resistant offerings for maintenance or new construction of stairways. Industrial stair treads panels are available in the same high-performance resin formulations as Fibergrate molded grating. Stair Tread covers are a convenient way to provide solid, slip-resistant footing for existing wood, concrete, or metal steps. Our new covered stair treads provide an entire low-maintenance tread specially suited for residential and commercial applications.
Fibergrate's rugged fiberglass structural plates are designed for use in applications where durability and long, low-maintenance life are critical. Chemplate® and Fiberplate® are manufactured by building up multiple layers of fiberglass reinforcement and specially formulated resins; the result of this process is a solid composite panel offering both bidirectional strength and corrosion resistance. Floor plate is a safe and economical solution for slippery walking surfaces.
Fibergrate's variety of work platforms provides ergonomic and safety benefits for workers. Secure Safe-T-Stands provide optimum height positioning for workers. Grating rubber feet combined with slip-resistant molded grating creates a comfortable work mat to protect workers by allowing chips and fluids to fall below the standing surface. Fibergrate carries clips, grating legs, and rubber feet to complement the full line of FRP products. Clips are specially designed to fasten grating panels together and to secure them to support structures. Grating legs are available to provide sturdy support of square mesh molded grating for elevated flooring applications. Grating rubber feet raise molded grating out of fluids or chips on the floor while continuing to provide a lightweight, slip resistant, and ergonomic work area.
Fibergrate has customized its standard FRP panels and pedestal system in order to provide a Micro-Mesh® panel covered with a high-pressure flooring laminate and totally nonmagnetic grating pedestals. This meets new requirements of access flooring systems in MRI magnet rooms.
